Auction located at both Guardian Storage auction sites in Denver, NC. 10:00 am location is 1450 North Highway 16. - 6 units available as of 6/16/2011. 1:00 pm location is 2585 Highway 16. - 3 units available as of 6/16/2011 Denver, NC 28037. These will be whole bin auctions. No piece outs.There will be a $50 refundable deposit required for all winning bidders. Deposit will be refunding to winning bidder once bin has been cleaned to management's satisfaction. All items must be removed within 48 hours of auction end. Bins must be broom swept. Auction located at Rock Spring Methodist Campground. Wayne will be auctioning off historic Tent #1 for the trustees to the highest bidder. Esquire W. Freeman Kelly built the first tent at Rock Spring Campground in 1831. It is thought the tent was passed from Kelly to Jenny Gordon, a daughter, who transferred ownership to Freement Howard, Kelly's nephew. Howard sold the tent to his nephew Blair Abernathy in 1959. The tent stayed in the family until it was destroyed by fire in April 17, 1981. Abernathy reconstructed a replacement from logs that closely resembles the original tent. The Rock Spring Methodist Board of Trustees purchased the structure from Abernathy in 1997. No real estate will be involved in the auction. The campground owns the land, while individuals hold the right to construct structures - known as tents - on the property.
